Although a short story, I felt engaged with the characters from the very beginning! As I read the ending, I was anxious as I did not want the story to end. I had a million ideas on what happened next! It is an entertaining, quick read that leaves a person wanting more. I would love to learn more about husband, the mom, the boy...all of them! I would certainly refrain from reading this to my 6 yr old for a bedtime story, but I believe my teenagers would really like the pace, theme and overall story! I read William F. Aicher's "Secret A Creepy Little Bedtime Story" after putting my baby to bed. The story was just creepy enough that I prayed she didn't wake in the middle of night that night. A fast read that offers pleasant 'thrill' factor.
...and now I never want to watch children ever again! Quick read and well written! I’ll be checking out more work from Bill!
I liked "Secret." A good, quick read before bed. Not that you'll be getting any sleep after, but a good read none the less!
I purchased this after reading and enjoying a different short story by the author. This is another creepy tale that will send shivers down your spine. It deals with the unknown of bedtime as a parent puts her child to sleep.

The book is alright, the ending is horrible and makes more questions rather than answers them. I feel like this book had a lot that can be done with it. If the questions coming up from the ending were to be resolved this would be a five star piece.
